General Admissions
The REME Museum tells the exciting story of the Corps of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME), from their foundation in 1942 to today. We provide a unique interactive experience for all ages. Learn about the history of the Corps and listen to the stories of those who have served. See large armoured recovery vehicles, medals, uniforms and weapons across eight modern galleries.
We recommend leaving at least two hours to view our displays. Remember to leave time to visit Crowns Café for something to eat and drink.
We have a large, free car park including disabled spaces. We are also easily accessible by public transport on the 55 bus, which runs from Swindon and Chippenham Rail Stations.
The REME Museum strives to be as accessible as possible for everyone. Read our Accessibility page for more information.
There is no need to bring ID to visit the museum or Crowns Café as the museum lies outside the perimeter of MOD Lyneham.
If you need help planning your journey to the museum, please call our enquiries line on 01249 894869 or drop us an email at enquiries@rememuseum.org.uk.
Tickets are sold separately for Special Events. Our events are a set fee for everyone with no concessions.
